About
the Artist:
TIn 2006 Westword, Colorado's biggest alt-weekly, named Angie Steven's
Denver's best singer/songwriter. "Go on: Just try to find a
single soul who's seen Angie Stevens live and not been completely
entranced." She has airplay on radio stations around the country
and in Europe and has been a featured artist on Noise:Floor, a monthly
television music series on Comcast. In addition she has received
feature coverage in a variety of publications including the Denver
Post, the Rocky Mountain News, Westword, 5280 Magazine, the Boulder
Daily Camera, the Fargo High Plains Reader, the Brainerd Dispatch,
the Rapid City Journal, and others.
Angie and her band combine traditional country, alt-country, honky
tonk, bluegrass, and indie rock into a mix that is lively, soulful,
and packs the power of a freight train. They are all-ages friendly.
While they are known for their original songs, they can incorporate
a mix of cover songs. And Angie has sung the National Anthem at
several events including at Coors Fields for the Colorado Rockies
baseball team. Angie performs as a solo, as a duet, trio, and four-to-six
piece band.
In 2006 Angie played (either with her band or solo) all of the following
venues/events and more. She performed in Colorado, Wyoming, New
Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa,
Nebraska, and California. She performed at Red Rocks Ampitheatre,
Invesco Field, Coors Field, The Peoples Fair, South Park Music Festival,
Hot Sounds in the City, Westword Music Showcase and the Mix 100
Summer Concert Series. This is just a sample of Angie Stevens activity
during 2006. And, 2007 is already looking to be an extremely busy
year for Angie and her band. |
